Inside My Signature Brand and Web Design Process

If you’ve ever wondered what actually happens after you hit “inquire” on a designer’s website — this one’s for you.

Hiring someone to bring your brand and website to life can feel like a mix of excitement, nerves, and total overwhelm. But once you understand the flow — from the first call to your final launch day — it all starts to feel simple, intentional, and even fun.

Today, I want to walk you through exactly what it’s like to go through the brand and web design process with my team — step-by-step, behind the scenes, and with full transparency.

Because when you know what to expect, you can relax, stay present, and actually enjoy the transformation. 🤍

Step 1: The Inquiry + Discovery Call

Every project starts with a simple inquiry form on my website — a few quick questions to make sure we’re aligned.

From there, I’ll invite you to a discovery call. Nothing formal, nothing scary — just a real conversation to connect and dream a little.

During that call, I’ll usually ask one of my favorite questions:

“Three years from now, you and I are having coffee. What’s happened in your business that makes you so proud — so happy — you could cry?”

That question matters because it helps me understand your vision.
Not just what logo colors you like or how many pages your site needs — but the bigger picture of where your business is going and how your brand can grow with you.

Once we chat through your goals, project scope, and timeline, I’ll send over a full proposal. I never ask for an instant decision — I want you to take your time, sit with it, and feel confident that it’s the right fit.

Step 2: The Brand Questionnaire + Creative Direction

Once you’re officially booked (yay!), we move into one of my favorite parts: the brand questionnaire.

This isn’t your average “what are your favorite colors?” kind of survey. It’s a deep dive into who you are, what your business stands for, and how you want people to feel when they interact with your brand.

It usually takes about 30–60 minutes to complete, and it includes:

  • Thoughtful questions about your mission, audience, and offers
  • A fun Pinterest vision project (so I can see what visually lights you up)
  • Space to share logins, content, and details my team needs to create magic

After you submit it, we’ll hop on a kickoff call to go over your answers together. This is where I start mapping your creative direction — the heart and soul behind every design decision we’ll make moving forward.

Step 3: The Design Phase (Where the Magic Happens ✨)

Once the strategy is clear, my team and I dive deep into the creative process.

In the first two weeks, we focus on developing your brand identity — logo concepts, color palettes, and typography. We’ll review your first round of logo designs together and refine until it feels like you.

From there, we finalize your brand kit:
✔️ Primary and secondary logos
✔️ Brand color palette + font system
✔️ Custom patterns or icons (if needed)
✔️ A detailed brand guide showing exactly how to use it all

If your project includes web design, this is where we move into the next stage — bringing your new brand to life online.

Step 4: Website Strategy + Design

A lot of people think web design starts with layouts and buttons — but I always begin with strategy.

We’ll have a dedicated website strategy session where we outline:

  • Every page your site needs (and why)
  • The content, photos, and copy required
  • How your website will guide visitors toward taking action

Once everything’s organized, my team designs your site inside Showit (my favorite platform for creative, strategic entrepreneurs).

Depending on the complexity, the design phase usually takes 1–3 weeks — shorter for smaller sites, longer for multi-page or sales-heavy builds.

After your first website draft is ready, we’ll meet to review and revise together. You’ll see your vision come to life — colors, textures, flow, and all.

Step 5: Launch Prep + SEO Setup

Before we hit publish, we go through every single detail with a fine-tooth comb.

That includes:

  • Copy edits and layout tweaks
  • Link checks and mobile responsiveness
  • SEO setup (so your site actually shows up on Google)
  • Domain connection + custom email setup

Once everything’s working perfectly, your site goes live.

But here’s the thing — I don’t just send you off with a “Congrats, you’re done!” and disappear.

Step 6: Post-Launch Support + Empowerment

After your website launches, we’ll schedule a recorded training call where I walk you through the back end of your site step-by-step.

You’ll learn exactly how to update text, swap photos, and make small changes — no tech overwhelm required.

You’ll also receive:
✔️ A recorded tutorial for future reference
✔️ A brand guide for your growing team
✔️ A 6-month check-in call to review progress and provide marketing guidance

Because I believe in creating brands and websites that grow with you — not ones that leave you dependent on your designer forever.

Why This Process Work

The reason this process feels seamless isn’t because we rush — it’s because we build on intention.

Every phase, from your first coffee chat to your website launch, is designed to bring clarity, confidence, and cohesion to your business.

It’s not about churning out a pretty logo or a trendy website.
It’s about helping you see yourself in your brand — and empowering you to show up with authenticity and ease.

That’s the real magic behind the brand and web design process.
